Hi everyone,
I recently launched a WordPress site using WooCommerce, built around a specific niche that’s broad enough to attract traffic but still focused enough to stand out. To make the process efficient, I developed a custom plugin that automates the entire flow of adding affiliate products. So far, I’ve added around 130 products to the site.
Here’s what the system does: I input an ASIN and my Amazon affiliate link, and within minutes the plugin creates a fully optimized product post. It fetches the product data through the Amazon API, generates a long-form description of over 1000 words using AI, adds a short description, and writes the Yoast SEO meta title and meta description. It also downloads the product images, renames them automatically, and assigns optimized alt text and title attributes for each image. The products are added as external/affiliate items with a call-to-action that says “View Amazon Deal” instead of the typical “Buy Now.”
Everything is designed to be SEO-friendly and human-readable. The idea is to scale content quickly while keeping quality high. According to SEMrush, after just three months the site is ranking for over 600 organic keywords. I’m wondering if this is considered a good start.
I’d really appreciate feedback from those with experience in Amazon affiliate SEO or WooCommerce-based affiliate setups. Do you think this method has long-term potential? What would you recommend to improve rankings and traffic further? Are there specific strategies that have worked for you in this type of model, especially when using AI-generated content? I’m also exploring ways to bring in external traffic through platforms like Pinterest, Reddit, or even YouTube Shorts, but would love to hear what others have found effective.
Thanks in advance to anyone who’s willing to share their thoughts or suggestions.
