Hi Everybody, This thread might help us to know that how many people over here are working full time as an IM and since how many years.

I have been into this since 2 years and full time. I have left the job and continuously offering link building services to offline clients. Days were so hard for me during the Panda or Penguin Time and now I have again recovered.

Let us know the Pros and Cons of working as an IM fulltime.

And Sorry if this is already asked or discussed. Mods please remove if this is already discussed.

Since 3 years. Established a limited company with nice looking office jointly with one of my cousin to offer different web-based services to local clients. Bought a small and nice house. All from doing only IM. Earned enough money to live but still some time feel frustration. For doing IM I can't spend enough time for friends or other relatives. Now they think I am not social at all. Miss passing nice times with friends in uni campus.( I am doing masters now). Because, I need to come back to office very quickly just after the class. After all it is not bad.

Still now I enjoy this very much. Some time thought to leave IM totally, but I couldn't. IM is now with my blood and I can't leave it anyway. Planning to go to UK for taking bar-at-law next year but I am sure, my finally occupation will be IM.

Yes, that is one of the biggest problems with Internet marketing I guess, not being able to spend much time with others. I too have to sometimes sit for hours on computer day after day, specially when there is lot of work to be done. At other times, IM is exciting and fun too as you have the convenience of working from home and enjoying a comfortable lifestyle without having to commute to work everyday.

So, I guess all things have their pros and cons.

Full time IM over 1 year. Was struggling at first, then started offering seo to offline clients and making over $3000 a day. Bought a condo in battery park nyc, and working on reaching my $10,000,000 dollars next egg so I can retire from IM by the age of 30.

IM for me is a marketing tool not a full time occupation. You should consider the pro's and con's of any any self-employment opportunity including the overall tax and retirement ramifications. Many people have flocked to IM because of the great recession as well.

Quite unstable I think, seen so many different companies and businesses just fizzle out because of the consistantly changing landscape.
