You know, I agree with what you said. I feel the frustration and anger as well. I've actually been saying this myself for at least a decade maybe longer but I realize that it's an endless battle that will have no end to it until the end actually comes.
We have these new terminologies like "clickbait" but the idea behind that is nothing more than the root form of "deception". As we modernize and come up with fancy technologies and fancy words and fancy new systems and ways of doing things, we think that somehow we've changed but we haven't. I mean, at the core or nature of our being, we haven't changed at all. There have always been good and moral people in the pre-civilization days just as there are now in the advanced technological age, as there will be in the transhumanism age. But there has also always been the worst of us as well and will continue to be no matter how much security or technology we develop, corruption and evil
will find another way to manifest itself, which doesn't make it any less evil/corrupt than 10,000 years ago. It's the same seed. Just new clothes.
I've been convinced for the last 15+ years that ads are becoming the worst cancer in our lives. People don't think it because it's found a way to just latch itself onto our existence as if it's a very natural part of us and we just accept it. Not so. Ads have always been around too, but they weren't called Ads before. It just makes it so much easier now because the technology (smartphones, internet, social media) allows ads to thrive 1X miillion better than previously where it could only travel by word of mouth by those that were educated, and even had the means to travel. Ads today are intrusive, invasive, and so much more and when I load a youtube video that is 1 hour long and see like 20 little colored bars meaning it's going to be an ad (and not just 1 ad anymore they have made it 2 sometimes 3), it drives me mad. I'm spending more time and energy trying to skip ads, avoid them, find ways around them where I don't want them and when you add it up over a person's lifetime, ads will eat away at your life literally without you knowing how much time and energy you are spending to get rid of them OR if they lured you in how much it costs you in the long run.
Don't get me wrong, there is a place and time for ads. It's just that now the lines are becoming blurred where it's not so simple like turning on and off the TV anymore where you can have that separation. Now it's 24/7/365 non-stomp bombardment on your phones in every single app, social media, video, anything you use they are eating into your rights forcing you to "accept" all the terms so they can access your computer, phones, apps, camera, u name it. Eventually there has to to be a boiling point where ads are going to be heavily regulated and curbed, but not yet. We haven't reach the pinnacle or apex of our hedonism as humans just yet. It's going to happen when neural link becomes the norm and we have information and thoughts constantly in our minds no longer with the use of a device or our fingertips. That's when people will begin to realize it's not good anymore to have ads constantly speaking to you in your brain as you live your daily life. Right now, we still have somewhat of a separation as a smartphone is not linked to our brain yet, so we can still disconnect BUT the gap is closing fast and ads are coming with it.
The irony behind this whole system is the very thing that brings you success to your business / life also is based on the very cancerous means of ads and massive uncontrolled proliferation of deceptive information.

He looks at what he thinks about in terms of mental cycles. It's really a nerdish way of saying that he only has a limited amount of focus and brain energy. and therefore has to choose wisely what he devotes it to.
In this case, you can't change any of this, and it isn't directly affecting your life, other than being something you dislike.
I wouldn't worry about it, if you think this is the epitomy of what's wrong with the world in 2020 you're way off the mark tbh.

i actually found it really interesting from a psychological standpoint. they created a little bubble for basically every single users. like no one is having the exact same user experience. no one is getting confronted with the same posts, videos etc.
Like its amazing how there are thousands of animal videos, never a single ad from any guru, but OP gets all these kinda ads. Its like they are feeding me with cute cat videos and how people are rescuing animals (positive) and he gets confronted with something he hates even the same algorithm is running on us.
Imagine you could develop a video game, which considers every aspect of your life, all decisions, family members, your friends, your interests, when you wake up, when you sleep, what you believe in, etc. it would be sick

Oh yeah, i feel the same at the some points..
Its like "fake" / excessive / hyped intro with false claimed..
That's why i'm not using the same technique (i should not follow/be like them xD)
Plus, that's why i'm not promoting any CPA offers with fake generators etc around the net
