Based on what you guys are saying I don't even want to watch it. Seeing an animal skinned alive isn't my idea of a fun time.

I could watch the video of the bastard who's doing the skinning getting skinned though.

I had to turn the video off after just a few moments. I hate watching stuff like that. It was not the most shocking thing that I have seen, but very bad indeed.

this is probably one of the single most disturbing things I have ever seen. How hard is it to kill the animal first? If Vick got 18 months, these guys need 18 years.

I have had my share of making fun of some of the off the wall stuff PETA does, but this shit is flat out torture to these animals. There has got to be a way to shut this kind of operation down and get some kind of laws for humane activity passed for this.

I have an iron clad stomach, but i might puke on this one....

it was still moving after they skinned it wtf wtf !! man how could people do this to animal its fuckin sick. Really makes me want to fly up there an open 2 uzis on all the workers working there.

No offense, but I was well aware of this. I saw something akin to this video in high school. The sad thing is that you have to realize that this is a by product of everything being out of balance; certain people want items for less while others have to make sacrifices to do so and be able to compete. This is no different than a case of cutting corners.

That being said, it doesn't bother me. I hate it, but there's nothing I can do.

Also, while I believe WWII happened, I don't believe in PETA being a true organization. 'nuff said.

skinning a live animal made my skin shivvver !!! damn . . . humans are just as gruesome as animals themselves. have u ever seen a hyena ripping of the skin of its prey **live** ?? it is gruesome ! but the hard thing to believe in that video is that a human probably (hopefully) understands the cruelty of this action !!!!! i believe the reason they skin these animals live is because they are trying to keep blood spills to a minimum.. avoiding arteries and excessive bloodflow, also it appears like it's some form of an "art" or special skill to be able to do this without actually spilling blood around or cutting any major arteries . . . from they way they converse in the video, the farmers sound like they have practiced to handle this process in a certain style/manner that requires the skill in order to be performed, cuz clearly the MuthaFukas in the video are doing everything possible to avoid "killing" the animal before they complete the ritual . . . what an awkward thing people are doing in Chinese farms ! !

Human is the most feared creature in this planet, can even be hundreds times more cruel than savage animals ... they are capable of doing unimaginable things, Maybe earth will be in better shape if there is no human inhabit it.

If the demand for this would stop, then there would be no reason for these animals to be treated in such a HORRIBLE way!

Brings tears to the eyes and they could just shoot them....but they don't. There is no reason for this type of cruelty.........

I have 3 cats........have always had dogs, cats, birds, etc..... I love animals.

Now, I am not against legal hunting and so forth, BUT......this is so horrible and horrific that there is NO excuse for it!

The pain and fear in the animals eyes were excruciating for me to watch.....then, when he lifted his head up (totally skinless), I can't describe how I felt.

NO FUR! As Harro pointed out, we have the ability to create the look and feel of any type of animal fur, so why torture and kill these poor animals?

Good God in Heaven, these heartless bastards did not even have the heart to properly kill the animals, they are only stunning them.

Did you know that a Chinese company has begun to build a cat & dog slaughter facility in the USA? Unwanted and Stray ( = unlicensed ) animals will be purchased for $5 - $35. The fur pelts were intended to go to Europe ( though recent laws there may thwart this ) and the meat sent to China - where "if it moves; eat it" is the norm.

This is why the US anti-horse slaughter bill ( HR 503 ) that failed to become a law( after a ten year effort ) was so important. Now, it cannot be stopped.

This is absolutely inhumane. I watched the video and it made me shed a few tears. Now I am a steak eater of all things, but damn, how can you torture these cute furry animals. I think it is absolutely sick, and that someone should eventually come down on these individuals.

Not being funny but everyone is bashing the people who do the skinning of animals, but those guys are probably on pennies a day, those pennies feeding their families and keeping a roof over their heads.

Yes, killing animals that way is crappy but why are people not up in arms about an eagle ripping a rabbit apart as it eats it, a crocodile slowly dragging an antelope to its death in a deathroll under water, or even a chicken ripping a worm apart after dragging it from the ground.

Its because we think of cuddly things like cats and dogs as 'family' and when these creatures are killed it hits home as part of your family being killed, or watching a video connects you to your pet.

You see that worm being ripped apart by a chicken doesn't make the hoardes reach for their wallets and send cash to PETA et all, and why is that - because the worm isn't seen as warm and cuddly.

I keep chickens in by back garden and seeing battery hens bugs me a bit, my girls are free to wander the garden - most people wouldn't give a monkies about seeing battery hens on TV whereas I do.

Its a harsh way to look at life but animals get killed every day - whether thats at the hands of man or being ripped apart by something higher up the food chain.

Don't get me wrong, I love animals - my back garden looks like a petting zoo thanks to all the animals we have out there, but in my mind throwing money at so called anti-cruelty organisations is as much use as posting it down the drain.

Yes, with the cash you see flashy adverts, posters, people with bullhorns shouting about it on street corners but how much of that money goes towards actually saving (and then not putting to sleep) anything?

As for PETA being a terrorist organisation, possibly - there are some extreme members in all organisations.

Think of all the explosive devices sent to workers in animal labs (Huntingdon being a very good example in the UK) all in the name 'animal cruelty'.

Yes, Huntingdon does do experiments on animals, some I think are not worth it (cosmetics) but a lot are looking for cures to horrible diseases that I have no problems with. At the end of the day I would prefer a monkey to die instead of one of my family.

Whether you agree or disagree with what people do to others / animals / forests / whales etc doesn't mean diddly squat - different cultures, different outlooks on life, its the East / West divide that echoes through history.
