The ironic thing about that comment, is that when you donate money to PETA and when you donate money to cancer research, since both groups spend money lobbying against each other, both of your donations kind of get canceled out. Because a lot of cancer research is done on animals, and PETA spends money trying to stop that.

Doesn't make sense they don't kill it first. You can eat those things too so it doesn't have to go to waste.

Ok listen everyone that says peta sucks or whatever, this thread is not for donation purpose, anyone that donated and wants to donate is up to you, you are doing a good thing and your intentions are good.

This video is to show how cruel humans can be and at least educate all of us to respect a life, no matter it's a dog, cat, or even an ant. Eating meat is part of our life and we are made so, but being so brutal againts them are unacceptable!

So I decided to look up the monkeys brains being eaten alive thing, and it's pretty facked. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't beat the things head in first.. now they're drugged when eaten.. the whole monkey is used also..

But.. this came to mind thinking of it all.

Animals can be cruel to animals (eating them alive, dropping them off cliffs <-- yes big birds will drop animals like mountain goats off cliffs infront of their families) but we (animals) cant be cruel to animals? I find it all disgusting myself, but I think the only reason it's not OK now is because we're "civilized". I mean, you won't see a bear taking pity because we're crying after its paw just destroyed all the bones in our face. Or a pack of wolves putting GHB in our drinks before they eat us. Not trying to argue with any of you animal lovers but just remember how much you love them when ones tryng to eat you to survive.

If these people are from poor as hell areas, they are just doing what they've been taught to do by their poor ass grandfathers to make a buck to survive. a lot of this stuff has been done for years when the people still lived in huts. are you going to drop your tradition of cutting a turkeys head off on thanksgiving because someone said its wrong?

oh, and how about this one.. way way back, before the internets we lived outside. sometimes it would get really cold, and we'd skin animals to survive the harsh weather. this was done with sharp rocks and probably sticks, but it's OK cuz if we didn't we wouldnt be here now, but i bet that was painfull as hell for the animals.

it all boils down to survival one way or another, and we're hardwired to do whatever it takes. it is pretty easy, to drug or put it out of its misery first though, considering it's 2009.. but hey, look at afganistan. not everyones up to date.

Wow I'm never usually phased by anything I watch online, regardless of how revolting it is but that video was brutal.

Although it may happen in countries, the video that's floating about is 100% purre fake.

Guys, I absolutely empathize with the poor animals (god rest their souls), however this situation can't be solved by vengeance. Uplifting the human condition in such countries will in turn have a positive impact on the animals' lives.

Remember that forgiveness, love and compassion for all is the only way we can move away from such atrocities. I'm not saying this because I'm some hippy "hugs everyone" kind of person. I have realized with time that the ONLY way such acts can be erased is through those three things.

It doesn't have to do much with the human conditions in such countries. There are way more other countries with terrible human conditions, but their people won't do such things to animals.

It's all about "greed" and evil human nature, which, sadly, parents set as an example to their kids in an early age. Anyone seen the movie "men behind the sun"?... an old chinese movie in which a cat was thrown to a swarm of rats and was eaten alive by them infront of us after trying to fight for its life.

And the guys who threw it were laughing. It was real. The movie also contained many other controversial scenes.

Obviously the director wasn't suffering from a "bad human condition", but was rather greedy to make his movie controversial to make more money. I don't buy the "he wanted to make it portray real history events".. well, he could've faked the scenes if he wanted to, but he chose to torture animals.

I keep hearing that but I fail to see how it works.

If there is no justice taken, be it defending animals' cases or human beings', then we won't move forward.

The point of "punishment" for those who do such unjustified cruel acts, is to set an example for the others and to curb and set off any other cruel intentions that exist in other sick human beings when they see what happened to the first person.

I always wonder, if animals have the ability to talk and speak in our languages,,,, would more people still kill them and skin them alive for fur (or even meat)? Or if such fur existed on human beings of a specific nation, would other countries hunt them down and skin them alive to get it? (and I mean openly).

Comes to show us how low we look at other creatures and not taking them seriously because of them being different and weak...

I can understand nature and food cycle, but skinning animals alive for fur or killing them for any reason other than food is a sick twisted action and a crime in my book. PERIOD!

I dont even want to watch it things like this just get me really angry and upset.
