so I got told today it's ok for someone to charge at me if I'm living under their roof, basically I'm still living at home, my dad blows up at me over leaving my computer on, says it's drawing a ton of electricity, blah blah, tells me he's gonna throw me out, between that time he charges at me pretty much going to hit me I'm assuming, he sure as hell wasn't going to hug me, lol. My mom was between us holding him back, too bad in a way, sending him to jail for a night might have straightened him out.

He phones the popo, they show up, I tell the officer about how he charged at me, and he was like, that's ok, it's his castle he can do what he wants.

How in the fuck? I'm pretty sure cops can lie to you, but on something like this? really? If I thought I could take action against an officer saying that I would, I actually have a witness to the officer saying he's allowed to charge at me. Like I said, I'm pretty sure they can lie, but I'm not 100% on this.

Either way, been a fucked up day.

Yeah he didn't do anything to harm you. It's his house you expect them to ask him to leave HIS house when he did nothing wrong? Had he struck you it likely would have been different.

If the computer being on is a problem set it to auto turn off when idle for a certain time.
 
dude that's you father and blood and you want some cop to take him to jail? or scold him?... get real man, if your last name was corleone you'd be up for a fun fishing trip. either follow the rules of the house or make some money instead of whining so you can move the fuck out and grow up.
 
Yeah I agree with you. It's your father's castle so you have to follow the rules. You didn't say how old you are so I'm assuming you're a minor. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you're under 18 then start planning to move out as soon as you turn 18. Just make as much money as you can right now. Then when you're an adult you can move out. If you're already an adult, then consider moving if you can't get along.

Hey, none of us know what it's like living in your house so just follow the rules for now until you can move out.

Oh one more thing; respect your father's wishes without arguing. He brought you into this world, raised you which includes providing food, a roof over your head, clothing and I'm sure a lot of other things.

dude, wtf?????? you need to respect your parents. If he was seriously beating you, thats a complete different story, but to try and get your dad in the pokey over somethin like that is bullshit..............prison is not a joke. grow the fuck up you child:flame:
 
@ naufa man, "cops fault I live in a dysfunctional family?" I don't remember saying that, my point was over me thinking I'm being lied to by an officer of the law, and whether or not it can actually be done in the manner it was presented.

I agree on following the rules, it's my dad's house afterall, on the other hand you hand my dad blows up at a lot of things. It's usually little stuff, believe it or not, he'll get mad over the phone ringing if it rings more than 3x a day. He'll go off on a loud cussing rant. It's kinda funny actually.

to the morons saying grow up, I never once lost my cool nor talked back to my father during all of this. He's pretty insane at times, I try to let him get it all out, but don't say shit unless you really know how it is on the other end of things, honestly. I'm yelled at on a day to day basis about the stupidest of shit. Anyway.......

my original point was about being lied to from an officer who's supposed to uphold the law, not lie about it in a tactic to scare.
 
about my situation some time ago. my father was calling out cops to me and I was beating out one sucker and was spending my time 2.8 years because of that. Now I am out again and I would do same thing again if its happens.
 
Do you make any money online? If so start kickin him down some cash to help w/the electric bill he is obviously going thru hard times and is concerned about bills, and calling the cops may of been his way to defuse himself and see if they can get you to shut up and listen for once instead of arguing back which would make any adult angry enough to charge and kick some ass. Be scared of your father always.

Unless you get a beat down, no one can or will do shit, especially the cops. dont look at them to get your dad to chill out, thats your job, find out whats causing it and help him.

As kids we all went through the 'aggravating parents syndrome'

They do things in their way that they think is right.... and it IS right, period. You say your pop charged at you, so what? what did you do before leaving the 'puter on that he never charged at you for?
sounds like maybe your folks are getting to the end of their tether with you... and maybe just maybe its time you looked to seeing things from their prospective, how would you dissolve the 'charging' if you were your pop?
You might think your the dogs bollicks now that you think know how to make better money than your folks, but aint they the ones that enabled you to do so?

When i was a kid ... many many moons ago, when i did wrong, out came the belt and i was beaten buckle end.
yes my mam tried to 'stand in the way' but i spoke quietly to her after one time and she left the room after that.

It was at this time that 'I GREW UP OVERNIGHT'

@OP I can see it from your perspective, as I had a pretty over the top Dad when I was growing up. But everyone's right in that it's his house so you need to play by his rules. Not that it will give you the same results, but when my Dad came after me (the last time) I ended up laying him flat on his back with a single punch.

He never charged me again.

Honestly it never of should of gotten to the cops coming. Im pretty sure that if your dad is bitching about the pc being on its not the first time he has said it. Pc may not use that much electric but still he has ask im sure. So imo if the cops are they 1. Its more your fault grow up aand move on and 2. Your Dads a douche For even calling the cops for a matter like this 3. Tell your family there welcome for wasting my and everyones elses tax money for stupid shit like this

If you live at your parents house then you show them respect. It is simple. Until you are on your own with your own kids you probably wont understand it so just do it.
