Paying them won't make them stop, trust me. Start working on a new PBN, that one is compromised. Even if they won't do anything about it, it's not private anymore if others know about it.
Probably will do this. Anyone want to buy a PBN? Just kidding.
What I don't understand is how they found it. I specifically blocked many web crawlers, used private domain registration, different hosts, etc. Each site had a different robots.txt, CMS or plain HTML. Different niches and content on each site. Built completely by hand with no footprint what-so-ever. Only two things come to mind, either:
1) They watched domains being sold via auction, and see where the domain points to in the coming months.
or
2) Have a custom built web crawler targeting my money site, and manually sorted through all the domains.
There's definitely a service here for those knowledgeable enough to build it - "discrete blog network." Word of caution to those in the crosshairs. I'll report back to what happens next.
