Just received an email from a Tor email address saying they found a bunch of sites that are acting as a PBN, and wont' 'tell google' if I send them $200 in BTC to them. What's to stop them from collecting and doing it anyways?

Do I ignore it or what? PBN has links to my youtube videos and one of my money sites.

The can only urt you with "bad links" juice. The can't tell google about your network. there is no "live" person that could read such email :)

Send me 5BTC to me i won't tell about your pbn to bing and google. Click spam button or pay them

HAHAHA you can say next nigerian scam... Just delete and forget... Man they are getting more creative every day..

Did they mention all the sites linked? But as mentioned, it's probably a mass spam jobbie.

I have got many such emails from such people saying that they will negative SEO my page 1 sites if i don't send them $200. I just hit delete and never reply them, i believe in karma so if they do such a thing, one day they will suffer the same thing, so i don't really care. Paying them is only gonna encourage such behavior. Also doing this is a big crime, you can spend years in jail if you get caught doing this.

AHA, everyday I learn something new here. today I learned out an effective way to scam. lol j/k

If they mentioned the domains specifically, then I might be slightly more worries than the rest make out.

As far as I know, all the mass email scams are really REALLY generic in concept, and inserting domains into emails is fairly specific.

Was ure url mentioned as well as the network domains?

And where are your contact details published where they would find the connection of domain + ure email?

My advice, monetize it :)
Just write some bullsh*t in a word file then upload it to some file sharing website.
Act complete stupid, and tell them to download and fill their payment information in that :)
Scam the scammers :D

Yes.

My information is private on all of my domains, but if you search hard enough you can find my personal email - which they used to contact me.

Paying them won't make them stop, trust me. Start working on a new PBN, that one is compromised. Even if they won't do anything about it, it's not private anymore if others know about it.
