I did the same.
To be honest, I think op should be banned for the username (and allowed to create a new one). Someone else can register the same username with one less/more underscore and there would be no way to reference who is who.

The worst part is that there are quite a few guys (Including me) who have already Neg-Repped him for one of his crap posts, but his rep is still considerably high. Can someone please explain me how's this happening?

As some member pointed out, this is a dangerous game! Another member with an underscore less or more will make all such members PITA for others! Someday someone will come up with a space as a forum name, and it would become a trend...
So the request to Mods here:
Please remove this member while allowing him/her to get a chance to rename and come back -- ONLY for a limited time, i.e., another 24 hours max.
Another request: As the member couldn't think of a proper forum-name in the first place, a Mod can directly give him a special help and create a suitable/funny name for him!
Absolutely no need to allow such members a re-entry in future.

Support this, but in a different way. I request the mods change his name to "TheLineGuy" or "ThatGuyWithTheLine" or "SomeLineman" or "HisLineWasntLong". Something involving lines, instead of just banning him.

I think they'd need 7878 or Damien to change his username.
Also, it would probably be easier to just get rid of the account and start again because the rep is sort of a problem too. He got to over 100 with 0 posts...that's not right.
