I think it depends on the context that they were sold in. If his site was specific to weed and the vapes that he's peddling are being sold with that in mind, then he shouldn't be suprised, but if not, then yeah, I'd be pissed myself especially since they are being sold on ebay just the same.

I hate when people are ignorant.. effin know it alls..

At the end of the day, We ALL know what Paypal's terms are. If you don't by now well....

If he in fact sold his items within their terms then he needs to be on the phone getting that shit straight with a supervisor.

Folks are always talking how bad Paypal is. All the rest of those crap-a$$ ecommerce services don't even come close (unless you're dealing with an adult solution...) and I have used damn near all of them.

I've had a business account with Paypal for over 10 years (or whenever the year was they first opened up online) now and have never had an issue with them I didn't get resolved in my favor. (and i have filed several disputes and have had a couple charged against me...)

If you're gonna play the game play it smart and DON'T risk your income streams where you're walking a fine line with TOS. DEFINITELY NOT with your payment processor.

Find another one and move on...

i know paypal is evil there are so many horror stories i have read where paypal has taken 1-3 K from people.
 
When PayGal leaves you alone its great and we love its popularity and simplicity when they fuck with you we hate their popularity and complexity of solving issues with them. At the same time we are not forced to use them and we click that little box terms of service, so its our fault really at the end. If you have legit business don't use Paygal exclusively. If you use them Always withdraw the money asap.

When i did Business to Business marketing/lead generation, business owners would run away from me when I said I used PayGal.
When I sold software/ebooks/membership sites/live streaming I had 40% lower conversion without PayPal.
On my wholesale website/business I use wire transfer / check by fax / offline cash / and stripe.

I am not fan of PayGal and generally all large non personal corporations that can mess with you as they want. I miss my country where when company screws you, you can actually go and knock on their fucking door and "speak" to a person responsible. People had respect you know and did not hide behind emails and lawyers.

Sad part is I am living literally 5 minutes away from headquarters of PayGal and Egay and there is nothing I could do. Like many I had my fair share of trouble. One time I had over $18,000 stuck in there for 180 days, several other issues before and after with other accounts. I know many legit business with their issues as well. I spent $4000 on lawyers with no luck. Last account I got limited with no appeal rights was one I only used to buy fivver gigs for 6 years, than they limited it because I displayed iPhones on my legit wholesale/trading company. I never even used Paypal on that site but they saw it the profile.

I stopped using them years ago for collecting actual sales. In my 9 years online I learned that nothing is solid and stable in IM and we should not take for granted what we have. We could wake up one morning and see all rankings gone, money held, accounts closed etc. All that thought me to move offline and use internet to support my offline business or/and not fully rely on online business which depends on third parties who have the power to destroy you over night.
 
I think payoneer is the best way of getting money, however you can't use merchant (or whatever they're called) buttons with payoneer.

It can work both ways though, a stealth account and a negative balance is one way to get them back.
 
paypal is the most evil and dirty money processor in the world! they just limited me for really no reason i hate them so much that im moving to wepay and googlewallet
 
wow! why those people got banned ?
btw, PayPal is using support androids outsourced far far away, for the US they use Filipinnes I guess
