Screw them!

Paypal closed my account last week, with several different excuses. I sent them my ID, associated my bank account, and had the biz account for four years (or more), and they simply closed it out of blue. Gladly I had withdrawn and had only like 15$ in there.

Same thing with EPN. A couple of days later they closed my EPN account, stating it was related to a previously banned account. WTF? It was my only account.

Fuck them both, I say.

Be careful with large amounts in Paypal, keep withdrawing your money before they go crazy on you

Unfortunately, i am also the paypal victim however to be very true, it was my fault. We keep on abusing paypal but we all know in our hearts, that if our account is restricted it's some where our fault (like high number of charge back/new account opened). Same for EPN, if you are good they love you, but when you are ban, you know your fault

I have never abused Paypal. I've always had the fear in using it, to be honest, because of all the stories that I had heard about it. And it was my only one account.

I must have done one chargeback in all these years, which was still in process.

Screw them for conducting wrong business practices. I'll make a complaint to BBB

It's my first post. But I can not help standing out to say that I have the same experience like OP. I got banned by Ebay that caused my paypal account under limitation. They took the money which had been paid into my paypal account away...

Never done business with EPN, but got screwed by PayPal as a consumer way before I got into IM, so I never did business with them again. I only send money through them if there is no other option and have used different means to collect cash. The one I use now is simplepay.

my guess is during the daily screening process your account threw up a couple flags for whatever reason, and ended up labeling your account as a potential high risk. whatever the real reason might be, paypal has every right to discontinue your account with them if they even suspect your doing something fishy.

if your read their TOS, it states that they can close your account at any time, without any reason, where they see fit. you agreed to this when you made the account.

EPN is closing down thousands of accounts. left and right.
I know a ton of people who have lost their accounts, and many
are all whitehat!!

Which amount is considered large? I want to be cautious in case I ever get to that point.

Also, since everyone is saying it sucks, what good alternative is there to PayPal. Don't most people and companies pay via PayPal. I guess I better start withdrawing regularly.

Not the slightest idea why it was closed.
I haven't even sent a payment the last 1-2 months.

If you don't need the money on your account, withdraw to your bank account when you reach 100$, so you don't have to pay fees. I have never had big amounts on my account; the biggest amount that I had on my Paypal was around 700$ I think. It was an immediate withdraw lol
