Turns out if you have privacy with godaddy they don't deliver the transfer email from namesilo to your email account so you have to disable privacy to do a transfer (or renew with godaddy). such scum.
If i ever need to buy something on Godaddy, i always transfer all such domains to other registrars. Namesilo, Namecheap, Internetbs, Dynadot, Gandi. Just no Godaddy, no 1&1, no Moniker.
