The laws where not made to handle companies like google or facebook, they just have too much money and clout.
New laws where they can be forced to shut down till the inquiry is over. is probably the only way to stop them.

Ive noticed lately in Ireland, on some searches, they are taking up tp 94% above the fold.
Reducing organis searches to 7, and increasing ad count to 17. with one new thing related results.
So that if you dont find a suitable add above the fold, they are pointing you to a new search page.

I have now stopped using google for my real searches, and only use it for IM.
i know we are probably to blame for a lot of crappy sites sitting on top of the serps,
but the real fact is, Google is putting even worse sites on top now,
I haven't seen the figures lately, but my guess is their affiliates now earn them a lot less than they did a year ago.
So in fact, they are trying to bring their affiliate earnings down to less than 10% of their adwords income
Maybe they sense their time is limited at having total control of the internet and are squuezing every buck that they can, while they can.
I.m sure in a few years time Google owners and lawyers, will look back at this time, as the good old days, when they had complete control of the internet.
