I think fsr uses smarty It will help if you know php but you can always go to the company website and get your answers from the forums.

    Google is your friend ;)

    Code:
    http://www.smarty.net/crashcourse.php
And yes FSR uses the Smarty system.

You can make them in dreamweaver just not in the design view I think.

Honestly, creating templates for FSR is not hard at all. If you're a dab hand at HTML, it will be an absolute doddle.

Currently, the only distinguishing factor between the templates on each site on your network is the the CSS. So if you're into CSS, you can make each site look quite different.

However, in the next upgrade of FSR, Chris is working towards a template system for each site - so you can make each as different as you like.

If you need some help, feel free to drop me in a PM.
