frustration and desperation at it's finest.

I've been studying how to rank videos for a while without however succeeding ever in ranking a video decently. My content is 100% unique and good content for the niche I'm in. Monetisation is and will be off because that is not my goal. My goal is to share that content and get the word out there. I make music and plan on building followers brick by brick. I am confident of my content.

1st attempt: It was when big buddy's service was at it's peak. A bunch of months ago I tried making a music video. I had bought like 30k views from his service (awesome service it was!!) and also some likes on that video. turns out the response was pretty good. however right after the views were done being blasted on my video, no more organic views flowed in it. so it was fluke.

2nd attempt: After learning that drip feed views and some backlinks are the way to go, I tried uploading another track and using some fiverr gigs, slow drip fed views likes and backlinks. problem is it was a time where youtube made its recent update and the provider did not live up to it's expectations. so I canceled the order and got a refund etc... and re-uploaded the video which leads to attempt number 3

3rd attempt: I ask advice to Ruoall and he really walked me through. I order 15k views 400 likes and some backlinks service which he referred me too. everything was going great. the video was uploaded on the 3rd of july. and apparently the views were delivered along with the likes. the backlinks too were done soon after. Now the problem is that after the views are done being delivered I don't see any organic views flowing in ='( ....at this point I'm totally lost here. I haven't spent much almost a 100 bucks on these attempts but still I don't want to throw that money in the wind.

my videos are usually SEO optimised. I put my name as an artist and the song title and the genre on the videos title,the description and tags..then I put some related keywords and the name of other famous artists in this niche and or famous songs in the description and tags....

guys please help! I don't know where to go from here.

In my opinion to rank music videos you will have to spend more than $100.
Unless your content is engaging and has the potential to go Viral then there is just too much competition from shit musicians.
If you are a musician, do you play live? What have you done to build a following away from YT?
You should get some opinions on the videos to see if they have the potential to be ranked.
Ranking music videos is different to ranking other videos.

as far as content goes. I've been doing this for almost 9 years now... I was in another country though...we did the first phone o live in that country...did plenty of gigs...and had a strong fan base...back then youtube was banned in that country for like 2 or 3 years so I never used it much...however now that I moved here I was thinking of using youtube as a mean to get the word out there. I am confident that my content is good...because as far as response goes for that small amount of time that the ranking was good the response was good too..people who did heard it were impressed (they weren't friends but random people)...still I am really really busy to actually put the effort needed like gigs making connections and so on at the moment that's why I thought maybe I could try using youtube and see how it goes.

I believe that if content was bad then response would have been bad...this shouldn't have stuff to do with why it didn't rank...I'm thinking it's due to oversaturation or whatever and I have no idea how to rank this stuff.

if people aren't searching for the keywords that you rank, you're not gonna get any traffic

BBs service probably boosted you on to the popular pages ( temporarily ) which brung in some organic views, and once it left the popular pages .. those organics stopped coming in

Yeah that was the reason. Blasting views don't help...by now it's not even possible anymore...drip feed don't help either...what's wrong with me? I put my name name of the song and titles of other popukar songs in my baclinks...of course I the provider said I'll need to wait 2 weeks or 3 to see improvements...should I put more effort on backlinkings andsocial sognals? Maybe buyng views are useless andi should put more efforts into backlinks social signals and so on...

stop spending money on that. no matter if you do SEO with your name and song's name at the title, description and tags. If people are not looking for your song you will not appear on searches. Optimizing with your name works if your music is being played at radio or television. So people who has already listened your song on radio or tv, go to youtube and look for that song or look for you by your stage name.

By putting names of other trending artists in your tags you are just messing up the SEO. If you want to be found when people are looking for trending artists or trending songs you would have to put the name of those artists or sonsg in three:title, description and tags. But that wouldn't look very profesional.

I thought of that and I was afraid that people could think that I'm a rip off...but yeah the idea is good...thanks a lot for the input man!!! =) ...also wanted to ask what do you think about buying views etc. is it possible to rank without buying views and maybe jsut blasting some backlinks and so on?

ranking by what keywords? by the name of your song and your stage name? If your music is not being played on radio or tv, people will not look for your songs so you will never rank in first searches just because people are not looking for you or your songs. is it clear?

People need to discover you some way first and if they like your content they will look for you again later.

How can you help people to discover you? Pay for an adword compaign and adjust it with the keywords related to the style of music you do. So when people look for their favorite songs which are the same style you do they will be shown an ad with your song. If they like the ad they will go to your channel. If they don't like it they will skip the ad and adword will not charge you if they skip the ad.

I have another method which I use and it is free. It just needs work. As I am using this method and I don't want it to mess it up by leaking it in public I would share it to you through skype. I have never paid for backlinks. And if you content is good, once you let people discover you they will press the "like" button or will put a comment. By doing that they will be sharing it automatically your video through google plus since youtube accounts are linked with google plus. That way you will have the backlinks you need in a natural way. Don't forget to press the Thanks button if my ideas are helping you

I would forget about the fake views, likes, and subscribers. You are in this for the long term. Instead focus on how you can make things better. Another tip: maybe try to create some controversy to get some attention. I'm not suggesting anything too crazy. Just think about it and what you might be able to do. If you can nail this you can help things snowball and if you are really lucky, go viral on a video or two.

If this music video is an original song of yours, try doing some covers of new popular songs that come out on the radio, and getting good views from that. Then on those videos you can direct ppl to your music video.

3 attempts is really nothing.. Keep trying.

thanks a lot guys for the help really appreciated!!every single bit of information is valuable for me =) . my genre is hip hop music and I've doing this for a long time both production and rap itself...since I left my old country I am to busy to put effort outside of internet to get the word out there...going out of my way to promote it make connection and do gigs will be jeopardising my education...however I really like the ideas that you've given me specially about using popular songs as a mean to get people attention...I also produce music and I've producing for almost 3 years...I know it's nothing but it's a start and I was thinking about trying to do drum and bass music too... this is a good way to make remixes of popular song and start getting a little bit of name out there.

on the other hand I like the unlisted method idea though given the current situation there aren't many good views provider that can provide views FAST. And I don't know what the embed method is but it's time for me to do some research!!!

yes I know 3 attempts are nothing in this business but the amount of time I put in research and learning just didn't cut it...I'm used to succeeding easily I guess ahaha..yeah I'll keep trying =)

Did you tried to build links to your video using
GSA SER or SE Nuke ?
if not try them for sure.

actually I just paid someone to do them...I'm not that literate on how to build backlinks...I used some high rated fiverr gig.
