For the last few months I've been feeling frustrated for a few reasons:
1) I am currently earning €9.55/h in Ireland.
2) Also, I'm paying €400/month in rent for a bed in a shared studio with 4 people in it.
3) As an Irish citizen I am obligated to pay 30% in taxes because I'm working 58h+ at a fast-food restaurant.
4) In order to save money from what is left, I chose to eat the cheapest food I could find in the supermarket. Basically I have been eating pasta and sardines/beans (whichever's cheapest) for over 8 months now.
5) Winter is here, yet I don't want to spend the money on heating costs.
Even though I am frustrated, I can still see the light at the end of the tunnel, I honestly believe I could change my situation for the better.
My current plan is to:
- Continue with my frugality for the next six months and save as much money as possible
- Invest all the money I saved and will save in an IM business (Currently have €4.1k)
- Once I am able to earn USD400/month (via IM) I will be migrating between third-world countries every three months. The $400 would be enough to cover my flight expenses, accommodation, food and local transportation to beaches. In India, Indonesia and Nepal, I could easily find accommodation for as low as $2/day - which is great.
- Escape the rat race.
TLDR:
I'm Zohr, living a cheap life now for a greater tomorrow.
Have no knowledge whatsoever of IM.
Hopefully y'all be seeing a lot of me here.
I would truly appreciate it if you could share your success story on this thread, to serve as a bit of inspiration.
