Hi guys,

Sorry for this (i guess)stupid question, just feel in obligation to ask it before doing something wrong, i'm not so into seo stuff and wanna ask if i change my hosting company (from ns to hg) for a well ranked website will infect my seo position or not?

Thanks.

From my experience it won't be. Unless it's changing the LOCATION of the server. Let's say you site was ranking well in the Germany and the site hosted in the same country. When you decided to move the server to US for example, it might affect your ranking. It happened to one of my clients previously. But changing the hosting company, same country, should not affect your ranking providing everything else is equal (both hostings are fast)

thanks redmarauder!
Any other experience ?

It shouldn't as long as it isn't down for a longer period of time, which is shouldn't be.

Offtopic: Don't move to HG, they suck.

Ontopic: It should not, the transfer should be done pretty fast.

OK lord1027, in your opinion shall i stay with NS?

This needs to be quoted so people stay away from HG.

To be honest, I keep my domain names and hosting with different people. Namecheap are one of the best registrars around and to be honest, thats what they should stick to.

I would recommend looking for a hosting company advertised here.
My honest vote always goes to Servikus, they've made quite an impression :)
I've always had a review account on PowerupHosting for few months, they were really good too.
But there are plenty of other sellers who offer high quality hosting.

Another company that I've never heard anything bad about them is Liquidweb, but they are a bit pricey.

And from my experience DigitalOcean is great, but they only sell unmanaged servers, so you will have to take care of everything (configuring server, installing OS, etc.)

I don't have much expectations from NC hosting, I would call them decent.

@lord1027: What hosting plan do you have at Servikus?

You should use hostwinds :) I have had nothing but good experiences with them and their customer service is excellent.

I hate Hostgator,I have had problems with them charging me extra money in the past.Use NameCheap to buy domains only.

as far my practical experience concerned, when i moved my hosting server, my ranked keywords started google dance for about a month. but mostly i found on internet that changing server does not effect SEO and ranking.

NO, it won't matter either you remain with NC or move it to HG.

Ok guys thanks a lot,i will use Servikus or hostwinds.

Yes, I'm glad someone pointed that out, host gator sucks.. HostWinds is the shit though.

I am using Business Plan so far, it suits my needs as I don't have huge traffic. I deal with PPC mostly now and I usually send traffic on the offer's page directly.
I have few other hosting plans with Namecheap and Digital Ocean, mostly for testing purposes.

This is the only significant change i can see, if you decided to change your server.

Dear,
In my opinion, Namecheap server is best. If you are using the same then keep using it, and if you are on another server/ hosting then please try Namecheap server. We are using it and we don't have any complaint about it. Good Hosting effects your SEO.
