Hello

I'd like to make a long story short here.

A few months ago I started a website and using various black hat methods (link building) I made it on page one (top 3 for some keywords). I was getting 1500 hits per day. And making profit. About 1 month ago my sites rankings suddenly dropped. Now I get about 50 hits and I don't think any is from google. I'm not in the first ten pages. But when I type my site in directly to google It comes up.

I don't think there where any updates at that time so I don't think it has to do w an update (although not 100% sure on this).

Right before this happens I did two things.

1. Installed google analytics

2. Redirected this site to another site

after seeing ranking drop I removed redirection and google analytics but rankings are still gone.

Could it have I do w 1/2 or is it penalty?

Also how can I know if it's manual penalty or not?

Thanks

Hmm.. 69 views no answers?

Anyone?

if you type in http://your domain.com in g and its on first place you probably werent penalised. also try to type in http://your domain.com with keyword if you still on top you werent penalised. maybe your links were just devalued? it might be also your answer 2

When I type in URL I'm number one when I type in URL + targeted keyword I'm number 3-4

You think it's redirection ? Why?

Can anyone else advice?

Thanks in advance

You redirected the site (Site 1) to a different site (Site 2) but you are confused as to why site number 1 isn't ranking as well now? I am confused here....

Nope. Of course not. I'm confused why SITE 2 isn't ranking.

Thanks for your reply though

Obviously your black hat tactics aren't as good as you think they are, you got caught and were penalized accordingly.

Depending on the severity of your ranking drop you will either have to 1) keep building links (ideally high quality links) 2) wait 6+ months for the penalty to lift or 3) give up your domain is burned.

a) small ranking drop --> solution 1
b) -50 penalty or greater --> solution 2
c) -100 or greater --> solution 3

Google analytics is for fools, can't believe people use it...

Use piwik, plenty of solutions around. If there's one good thing of the post penguin era is that we got rid of the "nah u mad bro google wouldn't do dat to me, it's safe" nonsense replies...

What a bunch of bullshit. Most of my sites get to dance with google like this and drop more than 100 ranks, so according to you I should give up the domain? LOL
I always keep building backlinks and it get backs higher than it was.

dont worry it will come back again...why i m telling this because i did something similar few days ago..one of my site were on page one,it was getting traffic but not converting well, so i parked it to monitise my organic traffic...after few days i found my site is nowwhere in search results..see when we park its a kind of redirect done through dns..but as i changed my dns again that site come back to page one again ..it took 3-5 days ..just to verify it happen due to redirect of site i did it again and now site is not ranking ..whenever i want it back i just repoint my dns....

now please dont assume that i m not aware about redirect and dns pointing...i know what both means but if you see close look we are doing same kind of thing...

second google can easily recognise redirect link, to verify you can just see webmaster tool and use fetch as google option..there you will see they recognize your redirect ...may be your second this is not optimize for your first site keywords thats why you are not seeing any results..

people may disagree on this..but that is what i experienced myself.
hope it helps.

Give it time, I have had sites after 6 months disappear and then boom come back stronger. It's natural. Don't get down on yourself.

I had a site on page 1 and then gone. I was in the 800's so I have been building backlinks very slowly and it is 704 as of today. So I will keep building backlinks very slowly and create more articles to help push it back up again.

firstly you must delete all G service on your site. G Analytics, G WM tool etc cuz you do bh method and you say "Hey Google come and look my site at admin panel"

DO NOT FORGET THE IMPORTANCE OF AN APOLOGY!!! I have had several sites that got the slap and was in never never land. However, before I ever let a domain go and rebuild I always asked for a reconsideration request. 100% of the time I got a reprive and it came back as strong as before. Please keep in mind these never were deindexed and my link strategy was somewhat legit. What really do you have to lose. I always say i got suckered by some phone telemarketer seo guy that i since fired and I now know better...HEHE ;)
