From google page 1 to page 8?

Ok bare with me im kinda knew, my website was about 2 months old, I finally did enough work for it to reach google page 1, its been there for the past maybe 2 weeks or so, than all of a sudden today it dropped to page 8.

The only two recent things I did was i used a directory submission bot, and last night night i uploaded a change to the page by implementing a iframe into it of 1x1 to CS. Could this have fucked up my rankings?

I was thinking maybe a competitor tried to do something, but than i guess my site wouldnt be indexed? What should I do to get back to page 1?

Don't worry too much. I am in exactly the same position as you. 2 months in, I got to page 1, then got dropped to page 10.

The impression I have been getting from experienced people here who I have asked is that this is quite normal for a new site. Google is just trying to work out your position. Just keep working on the site as normal and you should come out the other side in 1 to 3 months.

Could have been the sudden influx of links from the directory's. I would just keep building links to it, 1-3 good links a day, and it should kick back eventually. Slow n' natural is the way to go. (white hat style anyways )

Try to get backlinks from high pr sites..

Ya that happened to me too 1st result on the first page when first got indexed with keyword "antivirus softs"
Later it dropped down somewhere i don't see. But google still gave me PR1 Just work on the site and rise up on the ranks again.

It normally happen when something changes on your site pages and new amount backlinks that you got.

Yes don't worry , it happens. It happened to me as well. Your page will return in page 2 and then page 1.

Yeah.. Don't worry too much about this. Many people call this the Google Dance. If you're doing this the whitehat way, there should be no problems. If you're doing this the blackhat way, there's no problem.

But if you're doing it the blackhat way but dunno what you're doing, then there's a problem. My site encountered worse fate. It got de-indexed for about 2 days I think.. Then got indexed back again. It's funny sometimes.

Meanwhile, all you can do now is join in the Google Dance..!!!

yes i would agree with this my sites jump about when they are submitted for the fist few months also adding and removing large amounts of content always seems to make p ranking a bit too sensitive sometimes

same exact type of thing happened to my site that was less than a month old.

I was scared shi*less and didn't know what to do.

Now I am relived to know that I am not the only one with this problem. Its just that google is tossing your site around trying to sort things out.
