From a Joke into potential business

Hey guys,
just here to share my story for those who are willing to read. So me and a partner wanted to make an app few month back. But to test it, we decided to launch a prototype under a different name and test the market. So we launched Wake&Wank, an application that wakes you up with hot babe videos every single morning.

Within one week of our launch, we were banned by in-app Google Adwords, Facebook ads, so we were ready to give up the idea. However, new users keeps on coming in despite the fact that we have no exposure. I wish I can tell how these people find us, because despite our #2 ranking if you search "wank", we pretty much have no visibility anywhere else. So this encouraged us to keep going.

One thing let to another, we have reached 1000 downloads after a month of publishing with only $150 spend on Facebook ads. We are now partnering with CamWithHer, a camgirl site. So now we have camgirls waking up our users on a daily basis. I really see a great potential now with our app and wish to bring it further, and that is why I am here.

That's hilarious dude. You had an idea, brought it to market, and are getting a reaction you didn't expect.

That's why it's so friggin important to just keep testing out new ideas. Because you never really know how the market will respond.

1 thing I can say for a fact, the name is VERY catchy. It's an alliteration. It's provocative. It's already part of many young mens vocabulary.

And what you're really doing is taking an old phrase, that use to mean "wake up and masturbate" and you're revamping it in the digital world.

I honestly like the idea. Because I like waking up to music. It motivates me. But waking up to a hot naked woman? That's just priceless.

The only question now is whether you can prove the concept on a larger scale?

Thanks for the generous feedbacks! One thing we have to be really careful is to not cross the line. Naked women are unfortunately forbidden on Google Play so we stay in the grey area. That's how we came up with the baseline: No Porn, Just Art
Since we are banned by the most effective Mobile app advertising platform: Facebook. It is hard for us now to get massive exposure. I was wondering if you have any tips for marketing.

Goes to show that you shouldn't give up on an idea that you think people might find "stupid" when in fact look at the reach your app is getting and soon to be in demand, well i think so. Its a good idea though, hope it all works out for you!

Cool idea, proves that no matter how silly an idea might appear to some; with the right experience and point of view I'm shure this could be pulled off (no pun intended).
