Hey BHW,
I’ve been around here since 2019. Sometimes active, sometimes completely gone — life happened, had a kid, took breaks, came back. But this forum is where it all started for me, so I thought I’d give back and share a bit of my story.
I first heard about internet marketing from a friend. Pretty quickly I realized this space is full of gatekeeping. Nobody will hand you the good stuff.
So I started learning everything by myself — traffic, ads, offers, funnels, copywriting, the psychology behind why people click and buy.
Back in 2019 there was no ChatGPT, no cheap AI tools. Everything was manual and messy.
One of the first things that really pushed me to try was this BHW thread:
The Super Immoral Technique From Hell To Make a Sh*t Ton of Money Promoting Online Casinos
I had an old crappy laptop and zero budget.
I made a simple casino video (following the thread just above made by @nouveauriche) and started spamming it in Facebook groups (make money, coupons, deals, MMO…). I wrote stuff like “hey, I found this, works for me, check it out”.
That video hit about 200k views in six months.
I had a rev-share casino deal and it brought me around €1,500 a month for almost 1 year then slowly went down to €500/month for 1 more year, completely passive after the initial grind. I worked hard for one month, then pretty much stopped touching it — the money kept coming.
Then I tried Telegram + Instagram + Snapchat funnel.
Made about €900 (100% profit since i was doing everything manually) in three days pushing casino offers.
Told a friend, he put some ad spend behind it, and by the end of that first month I cleared €5,000 profit.
I stayed mostly in the casino niche with some other side hustles.
Across 5–6 years (on and off, not full time), I’ve probably made €350k–€400k total revenue.
Not life changing, but cool for something I learned alone with no mentor and no initial budget.
Small example just to give you some motivation :

Don’t reinvent the wheel
I don’t invent offers. I look at what’s already working.
Twitter, Ads Library, even scam report sites — they’re goldmines for aggressive funnels and ad angles.
If someone’s been running an ad for months, it’s probably profitable. Take the concept, twist it, adapt it to your market.
Execution matters more than ideas
People love asking for a “secret method”. There isn’t one.
Research, test, find where the friction is (visuals? copy? checkout?), fix it, test again. Scale what works.
Pretext and friction are everything
Your offer can be great but if your funnel feels shady or humiliates the user, it won’t convert.
Example:
Someone I knew was pushing male enhancement. His landing page basically said “you can’t get it up? pathetic”.
I rewrote it with empathy: “It’s common, it’s safe, discreet, money-back guarantee”.
ROAS went from 0 to 4 in two days.
Learn enough skills to move fast
I learned to code, design, write copy, run ads.
Now I can build a simple secure app, make visuals, launch campaigns alone without waiting on freelancers.
BHW gave me my first push. If you’re hesitating, just start.
Even with no budget and an old laptop you can make something work if you’re willing to learn and grind.
Yes, I used chatGPT to reorganize my thoughts and write in perfect English (I'm not a native English speaker).

My takeaways for beginners
- Stop asking for a ready-made recipe. Reverse engineer what’s already profitable & move fast.
- Look at ads running for months. Copy the concept, improve or localize it.
- Understand people. The platforms change but human psychology doesn’t.
- Test small, scale what works, kill what doesn’t.
- Nobody will hand you a business. But the opportunity is there if you think and execute.
