Fresh IG acct banned within 24h without using any bots/programs (more inside)

Hey guys, I'm mostly posting here to try and get some perspective from people that understand IGs conditions a bit more as I'm super confused.

I tried to create a separate IG acct to post some of my artwork on from my main account as I want to separate the two. I used latergramme because you still manually post the images and it isn't supposed to void any ToS.

Has anyone used Latergramme? Is it really safe?

The only reason I can think of that I'd get banned is because I was spam following people by hand. I created the account about 26h ago and followed about 650 people by clicking a profile and following similar accounts. Is this why I got banned?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shine some light on this. I lost a days worth of work as I need to make a new acct and manually repost 20+ images as well as let my followers know I have another new account.

I wasn't even aware of software like FL but I'm definitely interested in using it now.

Never follow a lot of people when your account is fresh. I would say don't follow at all, when I create my accounts I start by only liking photos and 1 week after creation I start to follow.

Whenever making a new account, never start off with agressive settings.

When I create accounts, I leave them without any activity for a couple of days and then slowly start using it. Good luck
