Fresh Domain VS Expired Domain?

Which one to choose? for a particular niche. need tips and tricks for fresh. hard to find any expired domain in niche I want. i serped every platform.!

The more fresh blogs I create, the more I regret not spending a few hours looking up an expired domain with SOME backlinks. Just to at least speed up indexing when starting up.

Forget about nice, go with something at least close to your main niche. Just check the link profile, and look for something decent. By decent I mean at least a few valuable links. No profile backlinks crap or stats websites, etc.
 
Expired domain even though it will take time to find something decent.

Me a domain expert. I see but getting a domain I suits is tuff. My niche is quite filtered. should I use general niche domains and then use them for my micro niche website?
 
A new domain will take longer to build authority, as you will need to create new content and acquire backlinks, and domain age authority will take some time to develop. An expired domain makes it easier to gain rankings more quickly due to its existing SEO value.

Look, SOMETHING is better than NOTHING. Finding that perfect domain is very hard, and a lot of the times, all the good ones are on auction already.

What I did find myself is that, there are PLENTY of expired domains(dropped) that have a DA around 18-25. Now, this isn't PERFECT, but it does help you save some time, maybe even 2-3 months of waiting.

A fresh domain takes at least one month to even develop some kind of crawl budget.

Another thing you can do is, buy your fresh domain, and buy a couple of expired domains that are somehow into the broader niche. 301 to a single page of your fresh domain covering SOME part of that niche. There was a study about a guy who did this i think backlinko or something.

As in, your niche is giant milf dildos, buy an expired domain about butt plugs, and 301 to your domain to a page that talks about maybe "How butt plugs are so last year. Get a Giant milf dildo instead".
 
Always an expired domain. Yoy should have the skills to find a good one though.
 
It's super hard to index posts on a fresh domain these days
Don't be picky when it comes to a domain name
Anything aged is good to go

Can i use general niche domain to use for another niche? I used a domain in tech niche for another niche and it worked well. started ranking on 2nd page and sold it for too less. published top-notch content too.

If the domain name doesn't indicate a niche, then you can use it for any purpose. If the domain name has keywords related to a niche, then regardless of whether it ranks or not, users think twice before clicking your results in Google. So, the first thing you should consider is whether the domain name sounds catchy and relevant.

What if i use one in news niche? without any keyword news in it??
 
With a new domain, you'll have to work harder to build up its authority. You'll have to build new content and backlinks, and domain age authority will only come with time. With an expired domain, you can leverage its existing SEO value to start ranking quicker right away.

Depends a lot on multiple factors.

I do both for many reasons, and it's important to know what are you trying to achieve.

For a long term project, with a brand, probably a fresh domain will be required, not better, but definitely worthy if you cannot find something better

When you transfer a domain property, it almost resets all the longevity. People think that buying a 10 year old lets bypass all the sandboxes just by the fact it is not a new domain. But not sure how, Google seems to be pinging registrars (and this is why many people are worried with footprints on the registrar part).

The ONLY good part of an expired domain/expiring domain are the links already built for that domain. But if you are tied to something clean, and inside certain niche, with huge needs of branding, it is going to take ages to find something interesting. If you are not highly picky on this sense, you can go brand over any name (I've done so many times and looks right).

But if you have a very specific idea, that will look great over a specific domain, go for a fresh one, buy it now, start populating with any kind of content from your niche (don't has to be huge quality content) and start indexing as soon as possible. Maybe by 2 or 3 months from now you might have found an alternative, and you could simply ditch that domain or replace it with the new one. Otherwise, you can simply continue with the fresh one, and by that time you will be ready to start SEOing with the same ease as an expiring/expired domain.

3 months pass like a breeze.

You don't need a domain name with your keyword in it. But you should avoid domains that have misleading names. For example, if you start a site with domain name weightlosstips.com and post content about headphones, then users try to avoid your site as it looks irrelevant. If you have a domain johnsebastian.com, you can post whatever you want because it doesn't indicate anything.
 
 
I don't know if you guys have noticed but recently Google has started to index new domains pretty fast. I hope it's good news.
