Hey guys, to begin I am not native English speaker and I would like apologize for my English vocabulary...
If you are not ready to read everything. My freelancing idea is creating web crawlers/bots. I want to tell that scraping is really easy to learn, but hard to master..
At this moment I am working as a software engineer and past year I have been working with web crawlers/bots/automatization tools. I feel that all these three things are almost the same because you trying to imitate a real human behaviour.
In this journey I will try to reach 2500$/month doing side hustles as a freelancer by creating web crawlers/scraping data/creating bots. I hope to reach this goal within 6 months. In this period of time I want not only to earn money, but grow as a person and learn more in-depth about big data.
So let's begin with personal goals in 6 months:
- Read 2 books on big data subject.
- Get more in-depth language on Java programming language.
- Learn and create simple project with HADOOP. (technology to handle big data)
- Learn and create simple project with SPARK. (technology to handle big data)
Company that I am working in uses Hadoop and Spark so I feel that these goals are realistic and achievable because I can learn then meanwhile I am in the job.
By the way I have 0 freelancing experience and I am newbie in this sphere.
In order to earn I need to find clients, to find clients I need to build trust.
So let's go with a plan how I will earn 2500$/per month.
- Build several free bots/crawlers, gain trust.
- Create Upwork account.
- Create Guru account.
- Create blog (post automatization/crawling tutorials once per week).
- Create fiverr account.
Meanwhile I will build the trust and will find first clients I will be developing my own project (collecting and processing data from news websites) which I will be talking next week in next post.
If you want free bot/crawler write it here or shoot PM to me, we can discuss about the idea and your needs, maybe will make something happen.
I am happy with any tips regarding freelancing, I hope you will give me some insights and what I should be doing in order to get clients. Cheers.
