Hi everyone,

I would like to hear from freelancers from Africa and Asia on the hurdles they faced on getting their money from these freelancing websites to their local currencies.

My team and I are planning to have a startup that addresses issues like this, I'm only aware of problems Africans faced because I'm one, but I'd really want to hear from Àsians here.

Thank you as you drop your awesome responses.

I know that a lot of asian freelancer use payoneer to withdraw the money

I've paid a lot of Asians. Paypal is most preferred mode of transfer.

High exchange rate fees is the biggest problem while deposing money from Upwork into our bank accounts. Also, it takes 2 to 4 days for the transfer to be completed. Excited to see what solutions you have :)

I'm using the platform Upwork for freelancing.
When people in my country withdraw from Upwork I used direct transfer to the bank if below 100$.
If more than 100$ because of high conversion fees, we withdraw to the Transferwise US Bank account and sent to our local bank.
