Hello, I've been a freelancer for several years (graphic design, branding, presentations, charts, logo animations) and so far I've sold on platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer.

Now I want to make my own website. I want to sell downloadable elements, but also custom graphics, based on customer requirements / images. So they have to send me information or upload images.

What theme can I use in WordPress and what plugins? I want to insert the payment on the website.

Hostinger Business Wordpress is enought for my requirements for the moment (aprox. 100 images and services)

If you gonna sell your own stuff, you are basically looking for a studio website. So google theme for
studio website
agency website
If you gonna allow others to sell and buy you are looking for a fiverr, upwork clone, so google for that.
If you are looking for a 2 way marketplace like envato, themeforest you will probably need something like
dokan theme
plugins are based on functionalities you need to add to your website.

I would use Woocommerce to sell downloadable products and there are lots of plugin addons for payment gateway as well. Use Contact form with file(s) upload enabled.
 
Just use Shopify instead of Woocommerce! Woocommerce will eat resources and will be more expensive.

If you want to start, start with Shopify you have all what you need there ;)

I like Shopify as well but they are too expensive compare to Woocommerce, I know that Shopify great for scalable and more secure. What do you mean by 'Woocommerce will eat resources'?

Have you tried EDD (easy digital download) plugin? It should solve your problem. It has some addons for payment accepting and when it comes to selling digital products it is best plugin, because it is specially made for this only.
 
I always recommend Hello Elementor + Elementor. it can integrate well with Woocommerce + Paypal for payment gateway and you are all set.

Well Woocommerce is good for start, but when you be bigger will be a headache because of resources usage like RAM and CPU, you don't will other option to switch to more expensive hosting.

Wordpress was made to blogging and websites, not to stores. That is why Woocommerce exists. Wordpress is not focused in selling products that is why he lack of features, you will need a lot of plugins to do that.

In this case and scenario I should go with OpenCart with are fully free or PrestaShop, by default both have features to selling products and create a good store. Which wordpress doesn't have.
People doesn't understand the difference between a native CMS for Store and Selling and Wordpress for blogging only.

OpenCart and Prestashop are feature rich by default, which wordpress isn't. That is the way how people don't think about it.
