I know one thing about odesk...if you get screwed by provider dont expect any help from their support, they dont care about people who spend money there...

IMO Elance is easier to use. The site is constantly being improved, there's a huge workforce to outsource too, etc. With all three of the sites it's important to manage your workforce, choose people with track records and break the workflow into pieces (with payment at each milestone) to incentivize quick work.

I would go with oDesk. Also I would suggest you to get away from Freelancer since they become so greedy for money that started to steal it from their members. I lost around $40 for some membership upgrade which I never choosed to use. Also they added some stupid classes you need to take on their website to rank higher and of course you need to pay for each class you take.

I've never used Elance but have had success with Freelancer and Odesk. I usually do Freelancer for one time programming jobs and ODesk for hourly VA jobs.

I have worked with all 3.
freelancer usually have low budget projects, nothing for me to do there.
odesk is really difficult to get a project.
I vote for elance.

Personally, I'd go for either of the three Odesk, Elance (both ideal for part time online jobs) or Staff (catered to fulltime online work). They are equally legitimate when it comes to online work opportunities.

Both Odesk and eLance. eLance is better for a worker. Odesk is better for a job provider
