    Dear members,
Freelancer.com scammed me and ran away with $773
I worked with a client. we first introduced from worrier forum. he had a deal posting project. from worrier from he added me in Skype.
after our first introduction i knew that he posted a job in freelancer.com but already I applied his job before our first introduction. then took my interviews and he also took interview to the other applicants of freelancer.com. Last of all he found me as expert and he hired me in freelancer.com. I worker for him and he paid me in freelancer.com.
After project client told me that he trasferd to other job. and he already leaved the office.
a week later when I applied for money withdrawal then freelancer.com rejected me and again and again . they told me that without client response they wont give me money.
Contacted lots time via support center but they also failed to contact with the client. last of all I told them to take a decision to send me money.
Yesterday then leaved me a massage and they wanted to know about the client source. I told them clearly but they rejected my application and took whole project money $773.
Freelancer admin told me that they reversed that money.

How can I get back that money? have any solution. I'm a poor worker so that's great amount for me.
if anyone know about the freelancer.com admin mobile number then please let me know that number.

    My contact mail: [email protected]
    My freelancer.com profile:

I knew here experts are available, so, if any know about any solution then please help me. Even if need then will share my freelancer.com mail and password so that experts can appropriately analyze the process...

Note: Dear BHW moderator please don't delete this post. Really I'm hopeless and helpless. Here, I'm not spamming. here I released this thread only for getting help.

If they have reversed the money then in that case there is no way you can get that money back from freelancer.
You may try to contact that client somehow, if possible telling him that you did not get the money for his project which was refunded.

I also had extremely bad experience with freelancer.com. I can understand how you are feeling. Well, I don't think if they REALLY have refunded the client, then u will not get the $ from freelancer, but u can try to contact with the client and request him to pay.

What happend in my case: Just like you, i worked for a client, he paid me 2000$, everything was fine, when i tried to withdraw, freelancer.com rejected and redunded the money to the buyer and told me the whole project was against their TOS. But still, I'll have to pay the 200$ project fees. I asked them why the hell I will have to pay you project fees when u cancelled the project and refunded the money to the buyer??? They said, its in their TOS too!!!! I wrote them a hate letter, told them I'll not pay the project fees, and if they cancel/terminate my account for this reason then I will put a very bad review on my website which ranks well for some freelancer related keywords, after this, somone else from freelancer contacted me and told me that as a 'courtesy' 'just for the 1st time' they have removed the fees and i will not have to pay that project fees.

I was lucky that the client was a good guy, I contacted him outside of freelancer and he paid me.

After this, I stopped working on freelancer. It was I think around 5 years ago.

I just went over the first page of those reviews. It's enough for anyone to stay the hell away. 70% reviews warning that it's a scam and to run for the hills, and 30% 5 star reviews saying it was a "wonderful career opportunity".

    Absolute scam, do not touch.
