i posted my first project on freelancer.dom. a iphone and adroid app.

i have several offers but not one which has a review???they are all new.

how does that work out exactly. i give a app description and then they work as long till i am happy with the result?
anything which i have to look for?

thanks

Hey Abrigado,

I strongly advice you to NOT choose this guys, even if there is not so much android app projects on Freelancer.
Only exception: very tinny budget and you are ready to take some risk :)

Regards.

ok ... thanks guys ...odesk is better ?

I agree to the guy above. After you will get scammed and mail the support then you will just receive their apologies in your mail.. ! Nothing else..

Well, Freelancer.com is become the place for skilled spammers.

They will create mulitple accounts. they have 100 reviews . all are fake reviews.

but the worst thing is many talented companys who are members in freelancer.com over many years with less reviews wont able to contest with the spam gangs. so try Odesk.com that is better for you.

Try to find developers company freelancer workers are not secure. They bid on everything.

There are still many skilled companies over freelancer.
Just search providers rather than posting project.

Search service providers in your relevant skill field and choose the best one.
Before hiring anyone you can read his reviews and projects completed.
There you will get idea about a provider if he is eligible to do what you need.
After hiring him .. don't put any payment in milestone ... Just keep communicating with him about the project. If you both will reach to some point then he will accept the project and you will put the payment in milestone and release when project will be completed.

Hope it will help you a lot.

Hmmm...could be you're being snubbed because you're new..but I think it's more likely you're just getting mobbed by the new people, and the more experianced people see that it already has x proposals and so they move on.

Also consider that if you're getting a lot of 3rd word country bids, the average bid has gone way down, and no one from other parts of the world will touch it.

That's the downside of those sites..it's a race to the bottom, and that leaves you hoping that the person "over there" is really as qualified as they say they are.

That's not to say that they won't be..but you do have to be careful.

Also: obviously I'm not a fan of these sites, but Freelancer in particular sucks. They're good at making money, but that's about it. Their platform is a joke. People Per Hour, Odesk and Elance are only slightly better. I would say Elance has the cleanest, easiest to use system and the most qualified contractors of the bunch, but meh, it is what it is. Cheap labor, and all the risks that come with that.

As for your direct question, the contractor should state their terms in their proposal. Number of revisions, etc.

But if you think someone is going to work "till your satisfied," you're way off base.

A professional will tell you right off the bat how many revisions you're getting before you have to prime the pump again.
