I've read a lot of bad reviews about freelancer.com. So research more.

Why don't you try with fiverr? here you will find whatever you need for your assignment.

I've hired writers from Freelancer and they've been pretty good. You just need to check their reputation (the site has a pretty decent user reputation system), how they wrote their profiles, and check their portfolio if you can. It's really crucial to do some research on prospective hirees before you get them for the job.

The sad truth is, you aren't going to find any good writers consistently on sites like those.

Here's why: As contractors bid each other down into oblivion, the good writers/designers/coders/etc take one look, shake their head, and go set up shop on their own site.

    It is what it is.

A lot of clients have unrealistic expectations about the quality they are going to get for the going rate on these sites.

At one time or another, I've been both a contractor and client on a number of these sites, and I'd rate over all experiance and contractor expertise this way:

    1) Elance
    2)Odesk
    3) Guru
    4) Freelancer

Freelancer is the "spammiest" of these sites by far, and the least professional in both presentation and execution.

If you need good writers, your best bet is to go to a brokerage service like TextBroker or InteractMedia. You will pay more, but you will get more consistent quality.

The best possible solution is to seek out a freelancer with his/her own site. They charge the most, but they are usually professionals.

RE: Fiverr, no native English speaker is going to give you good copy for $4. It's just not going to happen. It's like blackjack...you might get lucky once or twice, but the house (Fiverr) always wins. They have absolutely no incentive to promote any kind of quality standard, and at $4 for their providers, no right to.

Just try to use one of the freelance resources:1)odesk;2)elance;3)freelancer;4)fiverr;5) iwriter. But more importantly pay attention to the writer's review. It is a track-record to evaluate the potential performance. Good luck for your finding.

This is true, but freelancer is not the problem. Its the people. And those same people use all of the other services too. Don't research the website, but rather do your research on the individual that you intend to hire. You will yield much better results that way.
