Traffic is probably key. I have never gotten any refferals in large numbers for any of my programs. I spamed on facebook, i have done article writing.
The only few ways i could see people getting refferals is adwords, Ranking high for search terms that get enough searches month to be worth while to rank for that will get you refferals, and forums.

ive only managed to get 4 refs after a lot of work, i gave up in the end as its very saturdated now.

That's not a big deal, when I applied there my 1st time I got over 50 referals, all through Freebie Trading but then I didn't do it anymore, I already got what gadgets I wanted You can make double of that money if you run a freebie site yourself and do freebie trading, it's not that difficult, only a bit costly, since the script costs $100+

I already told you man, do freebie trading, offer other members(I did freebie trading in forums) to be their referal in order for them to get the item they want and they should do the same by being your referer, but be careful only deal with trusted members and those who have high reputation/feedback!!!
The only cost is going to be that you have to complete offers, there are free and paid ones, choose what you want, free ones, only if you're in US, but that shouldn't be a problem with private proxies

I've been trying to promote my freebiejeebies link for a long time not a single green, but 22 reds. I made 2 video to promote it but have no software to get comments or views or anything like that. Would it be really cheeky to ask if anyone would help me out with it?

Best place to start would be by asking friends/ family. You can also try getting a smaller gift that requires less referrals so you can show this to people to convince them.
