Free wordpress video player with no watermark?

Hey guys,

Is anyone aware of a free video player plugin that I can use with no watermark? Also is it a good idea to upload my video directly or add it to youtube and then embed it to my website?

There are a few. I used to use jplayer.

I wonder what happened with propayer. It hasn't been updated since 2011. You can still get it via github, but it disappeared off of the wordpress plugin directory and its website is gone.

Here's what I discovered. To test playback quality differences, I uploaded my original 220MB MP4 video (which YouTube squished down to a meh 19MB file on their site) to my own Web space at the world's biggest hosting co. The result? Whoa! quality, but the playback stutters, even on the biggest Web host who runs server farms on several continents.

Next I borrowed YouTube's 19MB file and slinged it into my Web server for a quick test, is this stutter just about file size? Nope, their 19MB file stuttered even worse.

So, for the best user experience, it makes sense to host one's video(s) on a site dedicated to video streaming. YouTube's propensity to yank one's video from its URL and repost it on a new URL whenever they have a bad hair day means I wouldn't necessarily recommend picking *them*. (Who wants to update 100's of incoming links every few days?) I only keep a copy of my video still on YouTube for Youtube-sent traffic now.
