You can’t force push-notification subs like Quora, but content-locker plugins + soft-Ask push prompts work great for “unlock-on-opt-in” without killing user experience.

No,you can not force users to allow push notification.Browser block that for privacy reasons.you can only show a prompt or use content gating,but user has to approve it themselves.Even Quora does not force it.they just use smart permission prompts.

You cant make it mandatory, but guiding users with a strong incentive or value proposition usually encourages them to subscribe willingly.
