I've heard similarweb always show half or more than half of the sites' real traffic

I've checked out a couple of my own sites and it's eerily accurate. It tends to over estimate the bounce rate a bit. The other thing is I don't think they have many data points so if your traffic changes suddenly they will interpolate it so it looks like a gradual change over a couple of months.

Sometimes it hits and sometimes it misses. All of these tools are guesstimating based of whatever it is in their algo. For the real data you'll have to talk to the site owner and talk them into giving it to you.
