Honestly, if you are starting out on OF, I would recommend a paid page first. Primarily because you're more likely to make money a lot quicker on a paid page than you are on a free page.
Free page: There's no paywall, no way to qualify subs so you have a LOT of time wasters, who just want to talk and don't want to spend any money. The good thing about a free page is that the conversion rate is higher, so you gain subs super quickly. These subs you can then either tagret with promotion for a paid page, or with PPV.

Here you can have good conversations and build a connection which will in turn, give you a more loyal fanbase and you can make money in the long run through sexting etc.
