Free video software that competes with After Effects

Hi,

I was just wondering, is there any FREE solution that can actually compete with After Effects? I know that behind After Effects is a hell of a work and is hard to believe that someone would give such thing for free but maybe you know something...

Nope. On a side note hitfilm 2 was just release and it has some cool features ae lacks!

No. It is not possible at the moment. Because, to be able to compete, it should at least offer every feature of AE and also have many more new features. That's how you compete and no one would offer such software which is able to compete with an industry standard, for free.
 
No. After Effects is waaaaaaaay to advanced. Let alone for free, I mean lower priced is one thing. Lower your expectations and browse the web.
 
None can really compete with After Effects. There are so many features and capabilities.
 
You don't need to learn coding in order to create videos on after effects.anyone can create decent videos if you spend one or two weeks learning this software.
 
after effects is too good. but yea, if you're looking for a free alternative, use sony vegas.

AE one of the best or the Best software when it comes to videos.
