I need to edit some videos and was wondering what the best video editing software is. I would prefer something that let's you also edit the audio, anyone know of any programs like this?

Thanks!

I've had excellent results with the "Video Sequence Editor" function in Blender. Steep learning curve - Lots of training videos on YouTube
Here's the link to Blender

Good Luck

Microsoft Movie Maker. It the best free editing software you can get.

Microsoft movie maker is a good video editing software and its free of cost from Google.

I'd still use a trial version of after effect/premiere. The incomes from your editing might make you able to buy a real license if you really dont want to crack it.

Hi,

I was recently introduced to http://www.lwks.com/ which looks pretty sweet

I haven't used it yet but it is by far the best free tool I've seen and might even give some of the more powerful paid tools a run for their money!

If you specifically needed free than go with WMM.
But I had trouble with the water mark things.
So I got Camtasia. Seems to work fine.

movie maker is a simple option. When you say watermark in a video what do you mean exactly?

I use moviemaker... I just pump out really quick videos and don't need any crazy special effects. MM gives me the ability to do just that.
