Free trials / Review copies

I'm trying to understand something.
There are many sellers who offer Free trials and Review copies on their sales , services etc.

but a lot of times when you ask for a free trial, they reply to you on their threads that they gave it to you, but they don't. (created multiple accounts to test this myself)
and must just use their own accounts to bump their threads mixed with real buyers asking to test their service.

I understand that this can be easily abused for many reasons, but they shouldn't offer those trials if they can't afford it.
so should you report such cases ? I ask this because I don't see any clear rule on this in Terms and rules or maybe I'm not smart enough to understand

You don't create multiple bhw accounts to test anyting here.
If seller is spends x$ he might just not want to waste his money on a new account who is never gonna buy anything here.
Or even his time.

Thanks for bringing this up.

You and everyone else should always report cases like this when they happen. It's the best way to help us keep things running smoothly.

Just a heads-up: sometimes, a seller might say they’ve sent you a credit, but due to a mistake, it may not have actually gone through. Always double-check/ask to be sure.

I'll leave this thread open for a while, I would like to hear if others have experienced the same issue and whether this is becoming more common.

Ok but, the reason I tested this is because it didn't work in the first place.
I apologize if this was wrong but it looks like false advertising

As a side note, creating 'multiple accounts to test' isn't the right way to go about this. Creating more than one account for legitimate purposes is fine; using multiple accounts to manipulate forum activity is strictly prohibited.
