Google seem to have done a great job on blocking most numbers that are connected to free SMS services, which are still working? If you don't want to saturate the free services that are still working, please PM me.

just outsource to fiverro or india
in india sim cards are cheap

I don't there is any free service left that still works. I tried quite a few free sms services last week and had no luck.

Maybe u can try with smspva.com?
They r providing cheap Russian numbers for PVA, and does hv some free numbers every day, you will hv to act quick for it tho, quite a lot of ppl are also staring at it.

You need real phone number to verify gmail at this moment. VoIP numbers can not verify gmail anymore.
