2 things...

1. If not password protected, most of those AVs can detect a malicious file inside a zip.
2. Most of the "real" viruses are undetected by 100% of the AVs, since they are not public. It is like having a private bot, if you know what I mean.

All in all, I would suggest not downloading any unofficial software, or other executable files on your main machine. Always use a spare one for these.
