  2. Client Authentication: QUIC uses TLS to authenticate the client and ensure data integrity. The proxy server needs to authenticate like a genuine client to spoof the client's IP address validly.
  3. Connection ID (CID): QUIC uses the CID field to determine the request's origin. The proxy server needs to modify the CID field accurately to spoof the client's IP address.
All these changes are at Layer 4 of the OSI model. Therefore, IP address spoofing in QUIC and HTTP/3 requires the proxy server to access and process data at the protocol and encryption levels of Layer 4.
