As a gift to the BHW community, here is a PR8 link (nofollow).


In order to get comments approved, you must read the article and place your comment in accordance with the blog post (ie. if post is talking about asteroids, you comment must be asteroid related !)

as the link is nofollow isn't it kinda useless to post it on a PR8 site? might as well be on a PR0 nofollow site, should give the same google boost.

Not saying it doesn't have any value, just saying that from I have seen a PR0 is just as good as a PR10 if its on a nofollow page as no link juice will be passed.

I know you meant well, but if you take a PR8 link building opportunity into a forum of spammers, it will get spammed, no matter how nice you ask them not to be spammy. Anyway, the webmaster is now de-linking obviously spammy comments lol.... I had to laugh at the blatant anchor text and 'I know nothing about da physhicz, but bookmarked ya anywayz' type comments, which have succumb to the aforementioned de-linking LMAO!

Never believe someone saying "nofollow is useless" and never spend a minute with him or her. And get away as fast as possible not to full your mind with useless info.

It is Usually Used to Build Backlinks! But As you Know The Type of Backlink Matters.

Both Google, Yahoo and Bing Don't uses it(No Follow Link) for Ranking the Linked Site.
It is Used to Index sites by Yahoo and Not by Google.

Building Do - Follow Link Additionaly Increases the Linked Site's PR.

No buddy As far as i observe nofollow tag is only for google. Yahoo dont matter whether link coming from do-follow site or nofollow, its counts

A quote from yahoo and bing about no follow is as follows - "Yahoo and Bing search engines also respect this attribute"

But the argument is out their does no follow just pass on PR value or is it Link building value too, I think the old saying is any link is a good link no follow or follow!!

Its like having a link on Wikipedia its no followed yet search engines show that the site is authority and having a link from it is seen to assist your overall sites value.

N0follow is a tag spearheaded by Google to counteract user generated spam, normally comment spam. It allows webmasters to indicate to G00gle that whilst they want user generated content and won't switch it off, they can't be bothered to moderate it, therefore they can't vouch for a link that may come from their user contributed content ? it does not pass any useful 'link juice' according to G00gle.


The debate ad nauseum as to whether n0follow links are worth anything in terms of pure link juice in various search engines still rages on with zealous proponents on both sides of the fence. Some say it still works for them, other say it doesn't, the best way to determine if it does or not is to experiment.


Anyway, the n0follow tag was designed to combat comment spam, it failed ? people are spamming n0follow targets more then ever.
