Created a profile and also answered a few questions so the account doesn't seem fake. I also think the more answers replied higher the chances that your profile is visible, probably resulting in more clicks.

Nice! I use it mainly to get some extra SERP boost

I think follow or no follow, every link would help. Also look at it as an additional source of getting exposure.

I kept my username same as that of my website so it's easier for the lazy ones to google it instead of viewing the link on profile. I never tried my hand at capitalizing on traffic from Q&A websites. Probably answering one or two questions a day won't harm me much.

Do you like to share the types of backlinks. I mean, "are all of them do-follow or not. Are they profile or blog commenting or forum posting backlinks?".
