The hyperlink is not an affiliate link, but the promo code provided is one provided for referral marketing. So, if anyone transacts using the given promo code, then OP (the referer) gets a commission for that and also for all other future purchases of that buyer
So, it is a "loophole" being smartly used instead of direct affiliate marketing.

i don't mind using affiliate links without knowing if they provide bargains like this one, domains for less than 1E + my unlimited hosting = $$$$$
