[Free Method] KDP Automation - Sell Personalized NoteBooks, Journals, Planners ..etc

Hi Everyone,

I have used this method in the past and it did generate some passive income for me.
Highest I got per month was around $200. But there are others who made lot more.

If you don't know what amazon KDP is, go and watch some videos on youtube: What is Amazon KDP.
The thing is we are not going to work on books with content but rather on empty content books.

NoteBooks, they are just empty from the inside:



Journals:



Planner:



You get the idea, basically anything with a standard interior that people use to note things down.
You can choose your own niche or try different variations.

But why would people buy mine, instead of buying others, well, here is where our creativity
and customization, personalization comes into play.

The interior is the same, but we will be targeting people through the exterior of our books.
Here are a few examples from Amazon itself so you know that people are doing it:



Just go to Amazon.com and search from "Sarah NoteBook Gift" and scroll down
You can use any other names as well, Jake, David ..etc

So here are the next steps you need to take care of to get started.
I wanted to make this a spoonfed guide but I don't remember all the steps as I did give this a try in 2020.

If someone knows the answers to these bullet points I will put here,
please share them with others to save them time.
Also, you will probably find tutorials on Youtube explaining all of this.

1. Check Amazon KDP Cover size and requirements.
2. Create your cover creative.
3. Download a database of popular names in the US.
4. There's a way to automate changing the name in the design in Photoshop (So you generate the cover for all names automatically).
5. Create the interior.
6. Upload to KDP using automation software (there are two known ones from what I remember).

The main idea here is to upload as many as you can, check KDP rules, they used to allow uploading around 100 per day.
Make sure you don't go over their limit.

Stay away from names that could possibly be associated with copyright (Ronaldo, Barbie, Adel ..etc).

This is a newbie-friendly method that you can work on even if you have $0 to invest.
You will suffer as you will do things manually.

But you should be able to generate some money.

I apologize for not explaining every step in details, as it would just take a lot of my time.
But, do some search and you will figure everything yourself.

I don't think so, you can't really spam it to death.
There are thousands of names you can target, also the variations of the niches gives it more flexibility.

You could work on notebooks, and I would work on Financial Planners, another one working on Dairies ..etc
The designs are different, the title of the notebook is different.

If you make a good creative, something that people like.
You should make sales.

You could probably rip niche videos & re-upload to Shorts or whatever platform and promote your KDP with a link in bio as well.

Who doesn't trust Amazon in 2024, right?

Where are the complaining noobs man.

This is a sweet method that I implemented back before Covid too. Still gets me some change occassionally.

There's a recent twist that caught my eye, that included some Midjourney (Yeah BlogPro! not all your messages have to include an AI Model. We get it.)

You basically use Midjourney to create outlines and then produce coloring books at scale, very similar to what you've laid out.

Adult Coloring Books for anxiety relief are all the rage right now after fidget spinners. Good time to make a quick buck or ten.

Yes, another good idea.
Many niches and variations.

And, once you have a little bit of budget, you can start running ads on your best performers.

Old method but still works flawlessly

It was heavily spammed with notebooks or low content notebooks.This method has been dead for a long time

It's definitely dead. People don't need it anymore. Personalization? Forget it. People only want generic junk.

It's possible with proper execution. How do you know what's proper without dedicating 1000 hours?

Competition is high in this business.

Targeting and advertising work in every business. It's business to client type of thing which gives you enormous area to shine.

I find the idea interesting, and the advantage I see in it is that it's not geographically limited.
In fact, you can make cool creations and sell them pretty easily.
You just need to master Canva, which is pretty straightforward, to create the inside of the notebook, and a bit of imagination for the cover.
