Is there any good free logo maker online? I have an old logo for my website that I want to clean up a bit and shrink and resize, or just create a new one

I personally like Logomakr.com for designing simple logos, it's a handy tool for people who want to create a free logo.
 
I'd second photoshop. Grab a copy and it will be an amazing tool to have!
 
check fiver i have found some pretty good ones on there and they are cheap 5 dollars plus they give you a few options to choose from

Just curious...If he had Photoshop, why shouldn't he just use Photoshop to create the logo instead? What makes this site better for logo design vs a tool like PS? I think PS is fully capable of creating logos, but perhaps I'm missing something?

Designmantic is a logo maker tool, we use Photoshop to remove watermark or you'll have to pay to download the logo image without a watermark

It's not free. GIMP and Inkscape are open source alternatives that are free to use. I recommend Inkscape. It's not an easy logo generating program though. It's a vector graphics program. It is much more powerful than any of those logo programs you can buy.

You should use GIMP which is free.
Watch one tutorials on youtube and there you go perfect logo for you.
 
With free options you won't make anything good, believe me.
