Can someone recommend how to find low competition, high search volume keywords for free? Long tail or whatever.

Why not Adwords's Keyword Planner that owned by Google? This tool is famous to most internet marketers.

If you want to find low competition keywords, then I recommend using the Google Adwords Keyword Planner (Google) or the Bing Ads keyword Tool (for Bing) to find keywords and search them individually. After searching those keywords, determine their competition level based on what appears in the SERPs (Google Maps and YouTube are usually red flags for me) and then use metrics such as trust flow and citation flow (using the Moz Toolbar is another option) to quickly glance over the top 10 websites in the SERPs. If you want to be sure that you can compete for the keyword, then compare your potential competitors' websites to your own and use your own intuition to determine whether or not you can compete for that keyword.

There are so many tools available to research keywords with limited free usage.

FBGuru has mentioned some great tools. But it may not be easy to find low competition keywords, you will have to do your own checks.

I have always used the Google Keyword Tool,, if you look hard enough you can find the keywords with what you are looking for. Good luck :)

There are many tools to find keywords competition, low search volume, long tail keywords, etc. But the most Google Keyword planner is one of the best tool for it.

Keyword Planner, Spy fu & Market Samurai I recommend to you..

Google Adwords Keyword tool is free. I wonder why it's not enough for people.
Most of paid keyword tools out there are just getting their data from Google Keyword tool.

Market Samurai has 14 days free trial, try it.

A member recently posted a link to a cracked version of Market Samurai. That's good for what you're looking for.

I found 2 Youtube movies in the first 6 results. Is that a good sign for ranking my keyword?
