Here is a list of free tools which could help you to do keyword research. You can look into these and pick 1-2 based on your preference. Using this in combination with adwords tool will give you very effective result.

These are nice, but Google's keyword research tool is the most well known and quite frankly the best. That's my opinion though, thanks for sharing!
 
Thank you for the share OP - I can see a lot of effort has gone into this.

In terms of accuracy, I agree with the above post; Google's tool is better. But, most Keyword Tools pull the data from Google anyway.

Google's Keyword Tool can't be used efficiently for mass Keyword Analysis - for example, if you'r trying to find a niche you'll be there all week!

As for some of the tools above - with a little nifty PHP and Exel VBA Web Queries they can be used programmatically to generate the results you want by the hundreds!
