Free Keyword research tool same as longtail pro?

Hi, pls suggest a keyword research tool similar to longtail pro.

There are a couple of keyword research tools that have free plans, but sooner or later, you will be prompted to upgrade to a paid plan, especially since getting real number of searches from Adwords became difficult and expensive. Most of the keyword tools have moved to the cloud, so paying a one time fee to run in on your pc is not a viable solution anymore.
