One stupid question; do you think they create these accounts with their own IP address or they use proxies? I have several niches in mind I would like to grow them slowly but I don't know how many IG accounts I can create under my IP address to stay safe.

Great method. It can be done even cheaper to get good results. And without spending money for goods. Dropshipping should work.

Use a reseller panel, I use SMMHouse, I think their HQ followers are .80 per 1k.

I've created about 15 Instagram accounts on my iphone at home, never had a problem, about 7-8 of them are for local clients that I manage their social media. Creating legitimate accounts wont get you blocked, botting many accounts on one IP will.

So the method basically is buying low and selling high with a twist to "justify" the insanely high prices. People, especially salesman, do this everyday on every industry. Hell, I've seen people sell "magic" pens for hundreds of dollars and all sorts of weird shit. As long as there is demand, there is supply. And demand in this case is people who are dumb enough to believe everything they see/read on the internet. Good job though OP for digging deeper and reverse engineering!
 
Instagram is a gold mine, the best social media to advertise on hands down imo, People are so good at this, you don't even know if there really advertising there products, there is a million and 1 ways to tweak this method too.

Right! No different than luxury brands selling their shirts for $100 with their name on it.

This is just a quicker pump and dump strategy for quick impulsive sales instead of long term branding.
